Edge of Reality: A Starscribed Fiction. Or just called Starscribed.
This game is a challenge, not because of unfairness, but because it full on tells you what it expects and it does not accept anything less. The combat is fun, engaging, and you need to be on your toes for every turn. I vibe with it very well as I tend to have a mentality of "Move or get hit." when it comes to many action games, because either you get good and move out of the way, or you get hit.
Many people apparently found the game too hard, but that may be because they went in with the thought that the game was an easy turn-based, and not an active-action based game.
Musically and visually speaking, the game is also good. While there may be some spots that could do with a little polish, overall the presentation is done well. With music to help convey how intense a battle is to helping set the mood for a scene. Story wise, it is certainly interesting and definitely takes its inspiration from both real world mythologies and folklore. With this demo only covering the Prologue and Chapter 1, I can only wait to see what more awaits in the rest of the story. Let alone the Cosmic Trials!
It's happening. It was really hard to decide if I should let on more of the plot in the demo or save it for the full game. I've decided to not divulge plot points and focus on just developing the rapport of the characters between other characters as well as the players themselves.
Hi! I really love your project Starscribed. Is there any plan for an Android/Joiplay compatible version in the future? Iโd love to play it on the go.
My old UI was intended for touch controls but I've since retired it. I will look into Mobile support when completion is near. I also like to play it on the go too. I have intentions to have it on as many platforms I can manage.
I really love your game - it's so engaging! ๐ฎ It would be amazing to be able to play your wonderful game anywhere, anytime, no matter where we are. I'll keep following and supporting you! ๐ Since I don't have a PC, I play through JoiPlay (for mobile). Let me say it again - your game is absolutely fantastic! ๐ If it gets officially released, it's definitely going to be top-ranked! ๐โจ
Then I'll definitely look into ways to have it run properly on mobile. Currently, the javascript based RPG Maker MV that this is built on runs very poorly on anything without a GPU if the game has a lot going on. Definitely not the right engine for a game like this so perhaps next project we will switch engines.
Do you mean the current demo? Or the full release story mode when it is out?
In Demo: All fights fought is about 10hours. Another 8 for each character in the Cosmic Trials.
The full game will be somewhere over 30hours. Demo has 2 chapters, while the full game has 9 more. There will be no grinding or padding so all of those hours will be unique puzzle, fights and quests.
Hello, I recently finished the beta for your game (which by the way, I had a lot of fun playing on my free time) Yet, I was some what wondering (and this is very random to ask right now) But do you plan to make this project of yours Open Source? I'd love to try the battle system that this game has on my own project if you'll allow it, if not it's fine.
I am very flattered that you'd like to try the system out. As of now, I have no such intentions as it is heading to be a licensed release. Many of the features can be created with community plugins and some clever use of the editor. I am more than happy to answer any questions on those parts.
Aw alright understandable! Well: I guess I'll start off with the few question I have, I don't know if you'd answer all of them or can't due to Licensing or resources that aren't public so bare with me:
1. I guess the general would be The Battle Hud, I really like how it looks yet due to my lacking with making art I'd gladly settle on using the default and was wondering where you got it from. or rather how to recreate it to the best of my ability.
2. The second would be the Battle System, In terms of how to recreate it .
And My 3rd and Final Question would be how to make action Sequenced Skills and how to make Custom Sideview Battlers, I have the resources in question but don't know how to use them for my project, any other questions I may have in the future I'll come back and ask.

Score: 5 out of 5, give me a full damn game.

How many hours can I squeeze out of this game with new game plus and every single thing to do and stats at a casual non-hurry pace?

I was gonna play this game but then the birdy took it down. Sad :(.
